You know how every year the Emmy nominations roll around and everyone is angry that the best shows on HBO or now Netflix were snubbed? Well that's not the case this year! With 19 nominations this is definitely Game of Thrones' year to win after a stellar season. In fact, with these nominations, the new streaming networks have firmly secured their place as royalty in the TV landscape taking more nominations than their broadcast or cable brethren (Orange is the New Black landed 12 noms). Love for premium cable is all around with Masters of Sex, Silicon Valley, Girls, Shameless, and Homeland racking up nods. I'm excited because this HAS to be Cat Deely's year to win Best Reality Host. I am shocked by the complete snub of The Walking Dead and absolutely confused as to how The Normal Heart garnered 6 acting nods but no monition for best TV movie. But alas, the Emmy's never fail to stir up controversy.
